Kevan Cooke first got the computing bug when he was given a Sinclair ZX81 computer at the age of twelve. He began to write and support code on the IBM AS/400 server in 1989, and for more than thirty years has led projects to design, develop and support business software on IBM midrange servers (IBM AS/400, IBM iSeries, IBM i). This has included roles at both software houses and end-user sites across a range of industries, including management of an international development team at a major financial organisation. He has gained various certifications, including ITIL service management, TOGAF technical architecture and Agile scrum master. Since 2015 Kevan has taken a leading role in the development and support of the IBM i software application CoolSpools, a suite of utilities that is trusted by over one thousand IBM i sites worldwide. |
